Waitohu School - To Be Our Best

Music

We are very fortunate to have Frances Tull, who shares her considerable musical talents with our students. Frances works both in classrooms and with our school choir.

Each Wednesday Frances spends the day teaching classes a structured music programme, taking whole school singing and teaching an extension singing group.

In term two our school choir begins. All students are able to join the choir. The first focus is learning songs for and participating in the Horowhenua Schools' Music Festival. This festival is held at the end of term two and is a musical treat for all whom attend.

In term four our school choir has a busy itinerary. They generally perform at Otaki Christmas in the Park, the Otaki Music Club, the Otaki Women's Group and at our end of year final assembly.

Students who love to sing really enjoy having these varied and authentic opportunities to do so.
