LOST PROPERTY
This week all lost property has been displayed in the hall for students to collect. I encourage you to pop into the hall and check the lost property cupboard to ensure you get all the items that belong to your whānau. All items that remain at the end of the term will be given to charity.
INTERSCHOOL SOCCER TOURNAMENT
What a fantastic day we had on Tuesday. Our six soccer teams represented Waitohu School so superbly. Congratulations to all the players – everyone gave 100%. Lots of fun and focus was had by everyone. Congratulations to Waitohu 1 who won Pool C and Waitohu 2 who won Pool B. Ngā mihi nui to Summer Duncan, for taking a team on the day. It was really great seeing so many whānau at the tournament supporting our tamariki, ngā mihi.
WELLINGTON REGIONAL CROSS COUNTRY
Well done to Sidney Growcott and Sienna Riggs for proudly representing Waitohu School and the Kāpiti Schools Region at the Wellington Regional Cross Country on Tuesday.
ŌTAKI SCHOOLS THURSDAY NETBALL LEAGUE
In week 4 of Term 3, our Ōtaki Schools netball league starts for years 3-6. All interested students have received a permission slip over the last week. All forms must be returned by tomorrow, Friday 27 June.
At this stage unfortunately we will not be able to enter any year 3/4 teams as we do not have parent helpers to coach/manage and supervise the players. We only require parents to commit to 30 mins each week for 6 weeks. We would love to enter teams. Please urgently contact Sheralee in the office if you would like further information. You do not need to be an expert - simply an adult prepared to give it a go.
NEW ENTRANT HEARING AND VISION SCREENING
Hearing and vision screening for those new entrants and children who have no previous test record will be seen by the vision and hearing technician on Tuesday 15 July. Please let the office know if you do not want your child to be seen.
If you have any concerns about your child's vision and/or hearing, you can contact the Vision Hearing Services on 0800 153 042 and make an appointment to visit the clinic.
