BOARD OF TRUSTEE ELECTION RESULTS
On Wednesday 6 August nominations closed for the Board of Trustees election. The number of nominees did not exceed the places available. Due to this we are not required to have voting. The Board of Trustees elected are Lis Watson, Shay-Marie Peneha, Shelly Hill, Megan Nelson-Latu, Shelly Matheson (staff representative) and Maine Curtis (principal).

TEACHER ONLY DAY - FRIDAY 15 AUGUST
On Friday 15 August, school will be closed for a Teacher Only day. On this day teachers will be undertaking professional development related to the mathematics curriculum.
NZEI UNION MEETING - THURSDAY 21 AUGUST
On Thursday 21 August school will close at 12.45pm to enable staff to attend an NZEI union meeting on Thursday afternoon. Staff are currently in negotiation with the Ministry of Education regarding their collective employment contract. This meeting is to discuss this employment contract negotiation.

Netball begins today. This week's draw has been emailed out to all player's parents/caregivers.

KAPITI LIBRARIES POETRY COMPETITION OPEN MIC NIGHT
A number of Waitohu Senior Students have entered a poem into the Kapiti Library Poetry Competition. On Friday, 22nd August, there will be an "Open Mic Night" at Paraparaumu Library, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. This is when students can stand up and read their poem and share their poem in front of a friendly, supportive audience, if they want to. All are welcome to come and support.
