TEACHER ONLY DAY - TOMORROW FRIDAY 15 AUGUST

Tomorrow Friday 15 August, school will be closed for a Teacher Only day. On this day teachers will be undertaking professional development related to the mathematics curriculum.

NZEI UNION MEETING - THURSDAY 21 AUGUST

On Thursday 21 August school will close at 12.45pm to enable staff to attend an NZEI union meeting on Thursday afternoon. Staff are currently in negotiation with the Ministry of Education regarding their collective employment contract. This meeting is to discuss this employment contract negotiation.

NETBALL

What amazing weather and a great start to our netball league. Lots of smiling faces, great skills and team work. Ngā mihi to our students and parents who enabled a great first week of netball last Thursday. We hope our tamariki really enjoy growing their skills over this season.

KAPITI LIBRARIES POETRY COMPETITION OPEN MIC NIGHT
A number of Waitohu Senior Students have entered a poem into the Kapiti Library Poetry Competition. On Friday, 22nd August, there will be an "Open Mic Night" at Paraparaumu Library, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. This is when students can stand up and read their poem and share their poem in front of a friendly, supportive audience, if they want to. All are welcome to come and support.

LUCKY BOOK CLUB

Scholastic Lucky Book Club Offer 6 2025 have been handed out today. Orders are due by Monday 25 August. The online ordering system now available is explained in the brochure or bring in your order and correct cash to the office.
