SCHOOL PHOTOS - TUESDAY 9 SEPTEMBER
Next Tuesday 9 September, we will be having our school photos. If you would like a family photo of your children, these need to be ordered by 5.00pm Monday 8 September. Class and individual photos can be ordered either before or after the photos are taken. On Tuesday 9 September, all students will receive a photo key code (to bring home) which you can use to order the photos. KAITIAKI OF WAITOHU AWA
Last Wednesday our Year 5 & 6 students all spent time at Waitohu Awa learning about and being kaitiaki of our awa. We aim for these students to visit termly, learn about and care for our Waitohu Awa. Ngā mihi nui to the parents who assisted on the day and to the Cooper whānau for access to their farm to make this learning possible.
INTERSCHOOL RIPPA RUGBY TOURNAMENT
On Tuesday a number of our Year 4, 5 and 6 students represented Waitohu School in the Ōtaki Interschool Rippa Rugby Tournament at Ōtaki Domain. It was a beautiful day. Our teams represented us superbly. Ngā mihi nui to Tracey Hollands for taking our year 4 team and to parents who were able to support players on the day.
DAFFODIL DAY – NGĀ MIHI NUI
Last Thursday we raised $494.00 for the Cancer Society to continue their really important mahi. Ngā mihi nui to all who were able to contribute.

DONATION OF LEGO - BRICK ANTICS A huge ngā mihi to Gary from Brick Antics for the donation of lots of lego to our school. Lego is much loved by our tamariki. Brick Antics is a Mobile Children's birthday party business based on the Kāpiti Coast, offering a unique, fun, creative experience using a popular construction toy. The two-hour sessions involve an array of brick-based challenges and activities which will captivate and entertain children aged 5-100 years old. ŌTAKI COLLEGE ENROLMENTS FOR 2026
For those wishing to enrol children at Ōtaki College in 2026, there is an online enrolment form available on the College website, or you can go directly to https://otakicollege.school.kiwi/ to start the enrolment process. If you prefer to fill in a hard copy form, this is not a problem. Forms can be downloaded in pdf form from the College website, or collected from Waitohu School or Ōtaki College offices.
